Came in after a big lunch, so I didn't eat much, but I took some home and can comment on the atmosphere, service, and chicken wings. Ordered the honey garlic. Chicken was hot and fresh, and the sauce was sweet and tasty. Chicken wings came with Korean pickled radish, small cubes of it, to accompany the chicken. It was good refreshing little bites for a little crunch and pickle like side for the chicken. Dad ordered a beer. Music was loud, but good songs like Coldplay Yellow, and other more modern hits. It's kind of a sports bar setting here. A little loud and dark for my taste, but probably fun for groups or to have a drink and chicken wings type of vibe place. Big booths and tables, which is nice. Service was very nice and friendly, we appreciated it. Overall, chicken was fresh and sauce tasty. I would be interested to try the soy garlic or spicy flavors.

It's our go-to Korean chicken spot, but I'm only done takeout so far. Gotten quite a variety before: soy garlic, honey garlic, original, spicy original, etc. Tried the mala chickens before, and it was not as spicy as I expected, so want to try the hottest ones next (wings of fire). The chicken is always juicy but the breading can get a little soggy with the marinade, which is probably unavoidable sometimes. They can also be very stingy with the diced radishes - one time, my order of 3 different medium chicken boxes just had one packet of radishes and I forgot to check before I left. If you do takeout, I would check and ask for more.

Solid Korean fried wings with Friendly Service This Astoria spot offers some pretty decent BBQ chicken. The honey garlic wings were a standout - sweet, tangy, and perfectly crispy. The original spice was also good, with a nice kick of heat. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The place was clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus.

Ordered: Lunch Special Boneless Combo (~$13): 6pc boneless wings (Honey Garlic), substituted sweet potato fries, soda (Diet Coke) + pickled radish Aya's take: If you're looking for a good lunch special deal in Astoria, look no further because bb.q chicken is the place to go! From Mon-Fri from 11am-3pm, you can get all this food for ~$13. I wasn't able to order from the lunch special online and the manager (I believe his name was Joe) informed me they were still working some things out for online ordering. I actually was going to order a different flavor I hadn't tried before and he recommended the Honey Garlic. I'm SO glad he did because he was right - it hit the spot. It's slightly sweet, slightly spicy, and has that umami flavor. The boneless wings are also unbelievably crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside. I'm usually a bone-in girl but these boneless wings have me second-guessing myself! They were also nice enough to substitute sweet potato fries which is absolutely the way to go here! They're crunchy, flaky, and sweet; the sweetness complimented the honey garlic quite nicely. And the pickled radish was the perfect palette cleanser and I personally just love snacking on them between bites. Amazing Korean fried chicken, great value, and fantastic customer service!

We always order BB.Q chicken at work and last night we had the chance to go check it out in person. I had a great experience. It on busy 30th Avenue in Astoria. The restaurant has bar and table top seating. What was most noticeable was the friendly and attentive service. We were checked on as we sat down and shown how the ordering and payment worked and throughout the meal. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. For the food we had the rose ddeok-bokki was delicious as always. It's creamy and has a hint of spice. Definitely my favorite. We also had the spicy wings and soy garlic. Both very good and served with radish. For drinks we had the soju cocktails which were ok. Lychee and the signature. Overall it was an amazing experience and I will definitely be back!

Happy to have this in Astoria! The wings are made to order here compared to their Ktown location where they also have a grab and go bucket. It will take about 15-20 mins for the wings to come out, but it's super fresh and piping hot! Decent size on the fries as well. Servers were very attentive and this is a large space. It was a little confusing when you first walk in because there are kiosks to the right which are just to order take out. You have to catch the contact with the servers and they'll seat you for dining in.

So excited that there is finally a BBQ Chicken in Astoria. I used to make the trek to Koreatown for it and it wouldn't be as fresh by the time I got home an hour later. I came with a couple friends after our workout and everything happened in a really timely manner despite the restaurant being pretty full since it opened just a few days back. We got the half-half special sauce and original plus garlic soy and spicy sauce. We also got a Ddeok-Bokki with cheese which was absolutely perfect. They say it'll be 20-25 minutes to cook the chicken, but when in good company, time honestly seems to fly by. I have to say my favorite combo is probably original chicken and garlic soy chicken - the special sauce is good, but definitely on the sweet chili sauce side. The interior is pretty typical, though it is very clean since the restaurant just opened. Also the servers were really kind and attentive - extra napkins, taking plates away at a good time, etc... I don't expect half of these things, but they definitely went above and beyond. One thing to note is that the kiosks are take-out only. there's a huge label on them that somehow all three of us missed when we were about to order, but noticed and then took a seat to order normally. At least we knew what we wanted to order after mulling over it in front of a screen for so long. Overall, I'm really excited to have quality Korean fried chicken in Astoria and will be back whenever I can be. Definitely got that post-workout protein in, and in the most delicious way.

BBQ Chicken's newest location in Astoria has similar aesthetics to the one located in Ktown. It has a sort of minimalist cafeteria slash bar feel to it. There are various tv screens throughout the restaurants playing different sports and KPop music videos. As you enter, there are two kiosks where you can place orders for takeout. Very convenient. Inside there are plenty of tables and a small bar area. I love Korean BBQ chicken and have been to the Ktown location many times. This location has a very similar menu but does not have the convenient grab and go meals. Everything is made to order which means you'll find it is a bit of a wait to get your order. I came by during their first week of having opened and the place was popping. The kitchen could not get orders out fast enough. There were many people ordering take out at the kiosks. I ordered a small order of Soy garlic boneless chicken ($12.95), Fried Dumplings ($8.95) and Chicken Alfredo pasta ($15.95). The soy garlic chicken was tender with a light crunchy coating. Soy garlic flavor was mildly sweet. It was quite good. The dumplings were okay. Not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere but not bad. Paired it with some chili oil and it was jamming. The Chicken Alfredo was really tasty, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. The portion was really big and could easily be shared. It had slices of very tender boneless chicken and the Alfredo sauce was slightly garlicky and very cheesy. Overall, a very satisfying meal. So glad they finally opened and hope they do well.
